Shun Wu Tang (順武堂) is the Su family’s traditional Kung Fu system, drawing on three core styles: Luóhàn Quán (羅漢拳 / Arhat Fist), known for its balance of hard and soft through fluid transitions, rounded arm movements, and flexible stances; Tài Zǔ Quán (太祖拳 / Great Ancestor Fist), marked by direct strikes and strong linear power; and Dá Zūn Quán (達尊拳 / Revered Fist), distinguished by rooted stances, grounded force, deliberate pacing, and stable techniques.
The head of our Shun Wu Tang family is Grandmaster Sū Jīn Miǎo (蘇金淼) from Yunlin Province in Taiwan. For decades, thousands of students have trained under his guidance across the world with active schools in Taiwan, South Africa, France and The Netherlands – learning not just techniques but the philosophy, discipline, and spirit that define true traditional Kung Fu.
Shun Wu Tang can be translated to “school of harmonious martial arts”, which reflects a philosophy of adaptability, persistence, and flow. Shun Wu Tang has recently been earmarked to be recognised as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, honouring its cultural, historical, and martial significance. This recognition reflects the system’s enduring value, both as a martial art and as a living tradition that continues to connect generations of practitioners to their roots.
