Shifu Clifton James has over 35 years of martial arts experience, beginning with Lóng Xíng Quán (Dragon Style 龍形拳), a Nán Shào Lín Wǔ Xíng Quán (Southern Shaolin 5 Animal 南少林五形拳) system. He formally joined Shun Wu Tang (順武堂) in 1989 as an instructor under Grandmaster Sū Jīn Miǎo (蘇金淼). Over the years, he competed nationally, became a B-class Kuoshu referee, and served on the South African Chinese Kuoshu Authority (SACKA) as Admin and Finance Officer.
